OOC: Calamity OOC thread here.

Plot
It was the year 3570, during the years from the Golden Age, where the Pharaoh, leader of a tyrannical group only known as the Legion, was successfully assassinated by a small group of rebels, wanting to remove the cruel leader from his undying grip on his empire that had gripped 90% of the galaxy. Although the group was nearly destroyed by the leader’s most prestigious battalion, Galatis Dominatus, only one member of the group had survived the massacre. He alone was the person that had brought the downfall to the Pharaoh and his armies. However, even with a simple shot to the tyrant’s head with a pistol, the power that he had with him was devastating.

This person was too, like everyone else in the rebellion, killed in the massacre. However, instead of finding himself in the heavens, which he was promised, he was send to the lower regions of Tzvelhevo (Zz-ph-elle-hea-voh), and confronted the demon that had controlled the vastness that was the Underworld. Instead of admitting defeat in front of him, he had made a pact with the demon, wanting to go back into the galaxy, and stop the tyrant, before he had gone past the point of no return, in exchange for him being the demon’s servant. This demon accepted, and brought the man back to life again, and branded his back with the insignia of the demon himself.

Not only was the man given new life, but he was given ungodly powers. His flesh had transformed from muscle to a mysterious, metallic substance, one that could not be broken easily, unless a massive amount of force was applied. Not only that, but he is able to summon magical abilities that were unimaginable to any mortal. Some of those abilities include killing someone with a touch of his finger, firing white spheres that had the same effect of a tank shell, despite their size, and is able to warp gravity around him. Some were rumored that he could even form, and control, black holes, the ability to destroy planets, and summon beans of energy, although that these were never confirmed. However, even with these abilities, the man was not able to control them without wasting the essence of life that had flowed though everyone. The Elders know that once this mysterious energy was depleted from a living being, the being died from a death that was worse than anything that could be imagined.

With this devastating power, the man walked to the Tyrant’s home planet of Xelveha (Sel-vay-haah). No matter how hard the Galactis Dominatus tried, even using the latest technology of dreadnoughts, machines that were a huge tank in the shape of a human, and Xenon suits, the man walked past them, bringing a wake of destruction and carnage with him. The tyrant knew about these abilities, and managed to strip them from him. It ended with a single one-on-one battle, Xenon suit against Xenon suit, blade against blade. The mysterious figure had lost his own sword in that combat, Helder, against the mighty legend of Kraevotz, the man ran his fingers across the butt of a pistol of historical context, and fired. As the Pharaoh fell, dead from the shot, the man had disappeared from the face of the Universe, never to be seen again. Peace fell upon the galaxy for several eons.

Until now…
--------------------------------

During the year 8570, where technology and space travel was booming into existence, a tragedy struck the galaxy again. Unknown to the populace, another organization, which was named Segmentum Solaris, lead by a leader, who some people thought that was the direct descendant of the Pharaoh, named Tyra Belenholth. During her life, she had managed to invent things that had lead to the boom in technology, from the quantum leaper, an engine that was able to travel 50 times faster than the speed of light, to the ultimate vaccine, that had cured any disease and pathogen that was in existence.

By this time, there were two main factions in this galaxy, The Imperium of Krevotz, lead by Doloven, and the Brotherhood of Charen (pronounced the same way as Charon), lead by a ruthless man named Giovanni. Although the Imperium Empire expanded over ¾ of the known galaxy, the Brotherhood is known to have only 7/8 of the remainder. The last section of the known galaxy was lead by space pirates, with their several groups and allegiance with either of the main factions. However, it is not uncommon to have rogue pirates and bandits in this area, since they have not made their minds up on either side, or some of the more cleverer ones decided to exploit both of them.

Along with these main factions, plus Segmentum Solaris, there is another race, one that didn’t originate from here. They came from another nearby galaxy, or galaxies, since there has been rapid sightings of this race around various parts of the galaxy at the same time. They were the Krelvon, lizard men that vary in shape and size, but have a very nasty temper. Although their technology is not as advanced as the Imperium, nor was it as strategic as the Brotherhood, but they were vicious, stronger and could expand their army tenfold once they fully invade the galaxy with their vast armada. Only the scout ships and one of their battleships had invaded the galaxy, but were easily thwarted by the Imperium of Krevotz and the brotherhood. However, they have managed to take hold of one planet, on the border of the Imperium and space pirate regions, on the fringes of the galaxy ten years ago. Since then, they have managed to spread through the galaxy, reducing nearly 1/3 of the Imperial Empire and over 9/10 of the space pirate area.

Unbeknown to every faction, Segmentum Solaris had started to expand, joining all of the factions in the centre of the galaxy. And they are gaining star systems at a rapid rate. The rest of the space pirate’s home had been swallowed up, over half of the Brotherhood of Charen’s empire had been taken, and only scratched the surface of the Imperium and Krelvon empires. But, as soon as they take over the planet of the fallen Pharaoh, then there will be an uprising throughout the galaxy, spreading anarchy and destruction.

However, rumors have it that the man, the one that had killed the Pharaoh 5000 years ago, is returning, and would bring peace to the whole galaxy again. Ever since, there had been a small sect in the heart of the Imperium Empire, only called the Cult of Sin. Although they are not expanding like the rest of the galaxy, like the surviving space pirates, who roam throughout the galaxy, wanting to find a new haunt, the Cult waited for their demigod to return.
--------------------------------
(And now… we zoom in on one unfortunate ship, and their last log…)
--------------------------------

On the Imperium Ship, IES Sparkdrive, the captain looked though the window of the massive battle cruiser. He saw one of the Krelvon battleships, battling a small fleet from the Brotherhood of Charen. He turned towards one of the people, to had taken control of the propulsion system and hyper drive. “Jensen… What’s the status of the battle in front of us?” He shuffled in his place, staring down at the officer below the main bridge. A bead of sweat ran down the side of his face, looking on as one of the Brotherhood ships had been destroyed by the particle ray of the battleship.

“There is a lot of debris, where the battle is taking place. The majority of the debris… and gore… is from the Brotherhood. However, the scanners show that there is an empty remains of a Krelvon battle cruiser.” The man looked up from his desk, and looked at his nervous captain, looking nervous himself. The question, that he usually says very confidently, were stuck in his throat. Finally, after choking upon his own words, he managed to pick up the courage to ask. “What are your orders, captain?” A large weight that had appeared on his shoulders fell, as if the burden itself was lifted.

The captain thought about it, staring at the fierce battle that was in front of them. He watched as another Brotherhood ship being pierced from the battle cruiser, and the battle between the fighters continued on, leaving explosions, debris, and torn members of each member, sewn throughout the battlefield. Finally, after several intense minutes, he finally came back into reality, and nodded. “Engage battle stations. Arm the particle guns and rail cannons. Get every fighter pilot into their fighters. Jensen, bring us about, and head in there to assist the Brotherhood. We can settle our conflicts later, once the Krelvon are destroyed.” Everyone on the deck nodded, and the sounds of the warning sirens blared throughout the Sparkdrive. As the huge ship drew closer towards the battlefield, the fighter ships left the massive hangars, and joined in the fray, destroying Brotherhood and Krelvon fighters alike. One of the men on the deck turned to the captain, and nodded that the rail cannons were ready. “Aim for the Krelvon battleship… and fire at will…. Aim the particle guns at the remainder of the Brotherhood.” A few minutes later, the rail cannon that had rested on top of the Sparkdrive fired, sending one huge burst of laser at the ship. The battleship, even though its shields were nearly at max, was not able to withstand the power of the cannon, and was completely destroyed.

Before the particle guns had locked onto their targets, one of the guys near the scanner turned alarmingly towards the captain. “Captain… there is an unknown object heading towards the battlefield… My god it is very quick. If our guesses are correct, the object will reach our location in 2 min…” Before he could finish his sentence, a beeping sound came from the console. “No… It… It’s impossible… The object is already here?!”
The Captain looked in horror at the officer, not believing a word he has said. “Put the object on screen…” When the screen flickered from one image to what the object was, everyone gasped at what it was.

The object was not a ship, nor was it one of those advanced fighters from the Segmentum Solaris. It was a figure. Even though it was pitch black in space, the officers saw the man that was there. The captain ordered to zoom in on the figure. The man had a dark complexion to his skin, where some officers thought that it had a metallic sheen across it.. His jet black hair was blown to the side from the solar winds from the nearby star. His apparel was very peculiar, even for a spatial figure. His long coat had jagged stripes along it, all of the have a shade of black, dark red, and a deep purple. His black T-shirt and jeans were rather common though, though the added chains around his waist gave him an ethereal overtone. One of his hands followed his body, ending with fingerless gloves. The other one was raised. However, what was in front of his had was even stranger.

Where there were stars before in that region, they were no more. In its place, was a black space, giving out a call of dread and terror. This ball was sent flying towards the heart of the battlefield, growing in size as it traveled. “Sir… the being has fired a weapon…” As the black void started to pass the star, some of the heated gas and plasma from the sun started to trail it, like it was attracted to it. The man who had thought it was a weapon realized the horror, realizing what the black blob was. “Captain… The figure has fired a black hole! We need to lea…”

Before the officer had a chance of finishing the sentence, the debris and most of the Brotherhood fleet started to disappear towards the growing black hole. The figure, unchanged from the void, had charged towards the large vessel. Before the officer in charge of the radar could notify the captain of the figure’s movement, the man shot through the Imperium vessel, and it started to explode, as the core was incinerated from the charge. From anyone’s point of view, the men on the ship, were already dead. If they had survived the explosion of the ship, then they were doomed to be crushed by the deadly black hole.
--------------------------------

Once the new of the massacre of the three sides spread throughout the galaxy, everyone started to panic, thinking that the end was near. Even the Cult of Sin, thinking that it was their demigod, was frightened from the massive power that the unknown figure had. The Imperium and the Brotherhood had decided to settle their differences aside, and made an unstable treaty, forcing a cease fire throughout the majority of the galaxy. The new alliance tried to make another treaty with the Krelvon and Segmentum Solaris, but to no end.

The alliance tried to find the space pirates, but alas, there were none, since their home region was taken by the Krelvon and Segmentum Solaris. Now… the time has come to find the being, either as a unified and powerful force, going to stop this being before the rest of the known galaxy was doomed to be destroyed, or as a galaxy divided by conflict, and fight until the being reached the centre of the galaxy, where there is a rumored super black hole, and swallow it up to oblivion.

Factions

Here are the 6 factions of this RP that you could join.

The Imperium of Krevotz (Part of the Alliance):

The Imperium is, by far, the largest faction, within the galaxy, expanding over 500 million square Aus. They have the most technology, and have an armada that would enforce their domain with an iron fist. The only faction that outmatches them with technology is Segmentum Solaris, but they do have some of their technology, especially the quantum leaper. This faction mainly consists of humans and allied races, since there is an abundance in the galaxy. They are not as strategic as the Brotherhood, have the ferocity of the Krelvon or have the reflexes of the Space Pirates, nor are they specialist in arcane magic as the Cult, but they are the embodiment of the saying ‘Battles are best won with sheer numbers’.

The Brotherhood of Charen (Part of the Alliance):

The Brotherhood of Charon are the most intellectual faction out of all of the 6 factions. They use their intelligence for strategies and well executed battle plans against all of the factions, especially the Krelvon and Imperium. Although they are one of the smallest factions, they can outfight the Cult, Segmentum Solaris, the Krelvon and the Space Pirates with a precise strategy, though they have yet to find a strategy to outfight the sheer size of the Imperium, or find a way to defeat the Krelvon once they are enraged enough. This faction, like the Imperium, is mainly made up of humans, and are also made up of any intelligent life forms throughout the galaxy.

The Krelvon:

The Krelvon are an alien race that hail from nearby galaxies. Although they are the second largest faction of the Kaelvero Galaxy, they are the largest faction in the Universe, their empire expanding over several galaxy clusters. They are, by far, the least intelligent race out of the factions, since the technology that they use are from other factions in other galaxies. However, what they lack in intelligence and technology, they make up for it in sheer strength and ferocity. They usually prefer close combat that range combat, since they have an ability to turn anything into one of them with a single bite. It is better off that you fight this faction from a distance.

Segmentum Solaris:

Although they are not the largest, nor the most intellectual faction in the galaxy, the Segmentum Solaris excel in their technology. They have modified the Xenon suit to a super suit, one that is as tough as a Krelvonian hide. Their leader is a mastermind, having several degrees in engineering and sciences in the best university in the galaxy, enabling her to create these technologies, so that they could sell them off to the faction with the highest bid. They are the third largest faction, and have the potential to expand rapidly once they control the galaxy.

The Cult of Sin:

There is not a lot of information that could be said about the Cult. However, one thing was definitely confirmed. Each member had a unique arcane magic that is related to their demigod, varying from warping gravity, to shooting white balls from the palm of their hands. The only thing that would have stopped this cult is that there is no member that could create and control black holes. They are one of the smallest factions, with the only faction being smaller than it was the Space Pirates.

The Space Pirates:

This is, by far, the smallest faction in the galaxy, with the thanks to the Krelvon and Segmentum Solaris. However, even with size, this does not beat the courage that burns through them. During their time in their sector, they have honed their reflexive skills and their accuracy. They prefer to fight at any distance, especially close up, with the use of their Power Gauntlets. These tend to be other alien life forms, especially the lithe ones. However, there has been one or two humans that have entered the ranks of Space Pirates, though they don’t live for very long, since they don’t have the reflexes that their alien comrades have.

Rules and Character Form

Now… here are the rules.

-All general RP rules apply, so there is no G-Mod, P-Ping, Mary Sues and all of that jazz.

-Every faction has their separate requirements, and they can’t be changed at all. You can’t have an Imperium that is able to send white balls of destruction at enemies, or any of the Brotherhood that has the strength of the Krelvon. Anything of the sort will lead to banishment from the RP

-Romance is allowed, but only kissing and hugging. Snogging another character is pushing the boundaries, and any intercourse is disallowed. If you want to have a relationship with a character from the RP, PM the user with that character.

-Violence is encouraged in this RP. However, don’t make it too often. A really violent post is allowed every now and again, but not in every single post that you make.

-This is a futuristic RP, so futuristic weapons are allowed. However, I’m limiting this to one type of weapon. Also, it should be specific to the factions, for example, Space Pirates are allowed to have Power Gauntlets. If you are planning to join as Segmentum Solaris, PM me a message, asking about the technology that they possess.

-My word is law. Even though that this rule is usually on every single RP, I take this rule very seriously. If there is anything that annoys me from your post, and unless I tell you not to, you should change the conflicting post from the massive error that it contains. If you repeat this error all the way through the RP, or you don’t change your post, then I will force you to leave. I don’t want anyone to ruin this RP.

-This relates back to the weapons rule. There shouldn’t be any weapons of any massive damage, like WMDs and stuff. If you want these in this RP, PM me that you are going to have it, and that you should limit that weapon, so that no character is overpowered. The only character that exceeds this rule is the mysterious man.

-As with all of my RPs, OOC will be in double brackets. I don’t mind which brackets you use, as long as OOC is between them.

-Any Newcomers should check which factions are limited. The maximum that the gap should be between the largest faction from the smallest is 2 people. Please… don’t force me to start drafting characters into different factions. I don’t want to do it, but I will if anyone breaks this rule.

-Since there are young people on this forum, especially young RPers, there is no cussing in this RP. I will allow the occasional bloody hell here and there, but I don’t want gutter language. Anyone break this rule will be warned in PMs. If anyone ignores the warning, then I have permission to G-Mod your character’s death in a ridiculous fashion, and it will lead you to leave the RP. Cussing is unnecessary, and it is not needed here.

-Again, referring back to the weapons rules again. You can have as many auxiliary weapons as you wish. However, you must obtain them within the RP, and will have to discard them once they are not needed.

-If you want a race in this RP, PM me a little description about them, and I’ll see if that’s alright.

-Only one main character may step into the Kaelvero Galaxy. However, you can create as many NPC as you like.
--------------------------------

So… the rules have been set. Now… here is the character sheet (I can’t be bothered to type up or copy-paste rules, so… for different factions, they will be in a different colour. Blue will be the Imperium, purple will be the Cult, light blue will be the Space Pirates, Green is for the Krelvon, gray will be the Brotherhood and red will be Segmentum Solaris. Fill in what is required for your character only).
